Erotic Salon – The locker room and other taboos
The Erotic Salon is an open dialog regarding personal experiences and a scientific look on the world of sexuality.
We will talk about images, sensations, bodies and desires in a protected and safe environment. Within the framework of EuroGames Rome 2019, the Erotic Salon will deepen the relationship between body and sexuality, exploring the physical, carnal and tangible dimensions of sex as well as the affective sphere, exposing the presence of these aspects within the world of sport (Picture: A moment during the “Salotto Erotico” organized by Gaycs and NUDI in Rome, season 2018-2019).
We will talk about the locker room as the space where all the individualities that make up a team meet and share intimate moments. How can the experience vary if we consider the locker room as a place where not only heterosexual people pass by? How much discrimination and prejudice will a locker room see if we declare it a free space? Sentences like “I’m rather not gonna undress in front of him, he’s gay” or “Better wait ‘till she’s dressed up and ready to go, I don’t want her to see me naked”.
As if every gay/lesbian/bisexual person should automatically be attracted to pretty much anyone or as if every intersex/trans person should have separate locker rooms.
We will take it from here: let’s go on a journey exploring the relationship between sports, sexual orientation and gender identity. Everyone is welcome, including non-LGBTI+ people!

Il Salotto Erotico nasce dall’esigenza di confrontarsi sulle questioni inerenti al sesso, in un dialogo tra esperienze e vissuti personali con uno approccio scientifico sulla sessualità. Si parlerà di immagini, sensazioni, corpi e desideri in un ambiente protetto. In occasione degli EuroGames Roma 2019, il Salotto Erotico approfondirà il rapporto tra corpo e sessualità, dove per “corpo” si intende la dimensione fisica, carnale, tangibile dello stare in relazione, oltre che da un punto di vista sessuale e affettivo, anche sciorinando le dimensioni competitive e agonistiche peculiari dello sport. Parleremo del concetto di “spogliatoio” come intimo spazio di condivisione tra le individualità che compongono la squadra.
Come si vive lo spogliatoio in un contesto considerato esclusivamente eterosessuale dove invece si trovano anche persone omosessuali? Quanto diventerà luogo di discriminazione e palcoscenico di comportamenti stereotipati e pregiudizi? “Non mi spoglio davanti a lui che è gay, meglio non rischiare!”, “Aspetto che lei finisca di cambiarsi, non vorrei facesse pensieri su di me”.
Come se chiunque qualsiasi gay/lesbica dovesse essere provare attrazione nei confronti di qualsiasi persona del suo stesso sesso. O, ancora, discriminazioni su quale spogliatoio debba utilizzare una persona T. Partiremo da qui: da un viaggio sul rapporto tra sport, orientamento e identità di genere, confrontandoci sui vari aspetti che caratterizzano questo territorio. Ogni persona interessata è benvenuta, LGBTI+ e non!
